EYE MAG

LET'S LEARN MRE ABOUT EYE TREATMENT AS A PATIENT

Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty is a type of surgery that repairs droopy eyelids and may involve removing excess skin, muscle, and fat. As you age, your eyelids stretch, and the muscles supporting them weaken.

Cataract Surgery

In cataract surgery, the lens inside your eye that has become cloudy is removed and replaced with an artificial lens (called an intraocular lens, or IOL) to restore clear vision.

Corneal Transplant Surgery

A cornea transplant is an operation to remove all or part of a damaged cornea and replace it with healthy donor tissue. A cornea transplant is often referred to as keratoplasty or a corneal graft. It can be used to improve sight, relieve pain and treat severe infection or damage

Eye Color Change

Eyes with a lot of melanin will be naturally darker. The less melanin in your eyes, the lighter they'll be. Eye color can change in rare cases due to injury or genetics. Some people have two different colored irises from a condition called heterochromia.

Glaucoma Surgery

Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases that can cause vision loss and blindness by damaging the nerve in the back of your eye called the optic nerve.

Femto-LASIK Surgery

LASIK or Lasik, commonly referred to as laser eye surgery or laser vision correction, is a type of refractive surgery for the correction of myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.

Intracorneal Ring Implantation

Intracorneal ring segment (ICRS) implantation represents a modern, minimally invasive, surgical option for visual improvement in patients with keratoconus. It modified the corneal geometry in a manner that enhances its refractive properties and they improve visual acuity.

Intraocular Lens Implantation

Intraocular lens are implanted in the eye as part of a treatment for cataracts or myopia. The natural lens in the eye is called phakic and an artificial lens in the eye is called pseudophakic or false lens.

KAMRA Inlay Pro.

The KAMRA inlay is placed in one eye only, the patient's non-dominant eye. This leaves the dominant eye untouched, meaning that for most patients there is no noticeable change in distance vision. The inlay is placed into a pocket created by a femtosecond laser, the same lasers we use to create corneal flaps for LASIK.

PRK Surgery

Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) is a type of laser eye surgery used to treat nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism by reshaping the cornea.

Pterygium

A pterygium is an elevated, superficial, external ocular mass that usually forms over the perilimbal conjunctiva and extends onto the corneal surface. Pterygia can develop on the nasal and/or temporal limbus and can affect either or both eyes.

ReLEx SMILE

The ReLEx smile treatment is the further development of the Femto-LASIK procedure and enables a particularly safe and gentle correction of ametropia.

Strabismus

Strabismus (crossed eyes) is a condition in which the eyes do not line up with one another. In other words, one eye is turned in a direction that is different from the other eye. Under normal conditions, the six muscles that control eye movement work together and point both eyes at the same direction.

Tear Duct Surgery

Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) or tear duct surgery is a surgical procedure performed by ophthalmolgists to unblock or drain obstructed or infected tear ducts or other portions of the tear (lacrimal) system.

Vitrectomy

A vitrectomy is a type of eye surgery to treat various problems with the retina and vitreous. During the surgery, your surgeon removes the vitreous and replaces it with another solution. The vitreous is a gel-like substance that fills the middle portion of your eye.
